Privacy Statement
The privacy statement below applies to all site visits, transactions and agreements with Thalassa Seafoods NV/SA, located in Antwerp Belgium (hereinafter referred to as “Thalassa”).
Basis for processing personal data
Thalassa processes your regular personal data in accordance with the legal bases of the GDPR law. Based on this law, we can rely on (one of the) grounds below:

Thalassa processes your personal data for:

Thalassa processes personal data that is necessary to fulfill the agreement. This data has been collected under an agreement or you have already provided it with a previous agreement. We will send an order confirmation, an invoice and, if necessary, a reminder or reminder. By placing an order, you also give permission to use the personal data you provide for administrative processing. Without this processing we cannot serve you.
Anyone can sign up for our newsletter, we will then send you regular news by email. Thalassa needs your data to keep records, to contact you to fulfill our obligations arising from the agreements made and to store correspondence data.

Thalassa processes your data in a central database, Thalassa only uses this system for the processing and development of our products and services. Thalassa’s database is well secured according to European standards.
A limited part of personal data will be provided to third parties (domain name registration, if necessary for collection), for purposes necessary to provide our services and comply with the agreement made.
The necessary (processing) agreements are the basis for the “third parties” that Thalassa uses to provide its services.
Disclosure to third parties

Data Retention
We will keep your data for as long as necessary for the processing of our agreement and then in accordance with legal retention periods in our archives.
Newsletter data will be kept for as long as you have given permission, as soon as an unsubscribe from a newsletter has been received, we will delete the data.
We will not keep your data longer than necessary.
When applying for a job, we will store your personal data for as long as necessary for the application procedure.
If no relationship is established, we will delete your data or ask permission to keep your data longer.

Thalassa uses an internet company in the Netherlands for its website, this company has well secured its servers, your data is protected according to the applicable security standards.

Data Breach Notification Procedure
In the event of a data breach, Thalassa will immediately report this to the Belgium Data Protection Authority. A data breach is a breach of the security of personal data (hack). All those involved will also be informed about the data breach and the risk associated with the resulting data breach will be urgently identified.
Right to access, rectify, erase and object.
You may ask Thalassa for access to the data stored about you. You can also request Thalassa to change, supplement or delete this data.

Automated decision making
Thalassa uses automated decision-making to check the creditworthiness of our customers. It is possible that Thalassa will investigate the creditworthiness before any work is carried out. If this investigation produces a negative result, Thalassa may choose to terminate the agreement. Thalassa can also choose, in the event of bad credit, to carry out work step by step, where payment in advance may be a condition.
Amendments
Thalassa reserves the right to make changes to this privacy statement, for example due to new legal developments or online services. The most recent privacy statement can be found in the footer of our website.
